Summary on the final Australian Lady Gaga concert

BEHOLD, AFTER 2 YEARS OF WAITING THE GAGA CONCERT WAS FINALLY ON! SINCE MY FIRST HEARING OF POKER FACE, ITS BEEN A SOUL-CLENCHING DESIRE TO ATTEND THE LADY GAGA CONCERT!!!!!

What can i say, it was better than any cd, or any music video Gaga has ever released. She sang every song with vitality and decadence, and boy did she have the crowd going. My five friends and I were screaming like there was no tomorrow. We danced to every song, even the songs that weren't particularly our favorites. We screamed at the beginning and end of every song she performed, and often in between. She had the thousands of spectators wrapped around her finger!!!

Gaga, unlike other singers who sing what they have to and get out, gave talks between many of her songs. These were rather converstions, she said something moving to the crowd, and we screamed back in answer. She told of her being bullied all through school, of people calling her a man and saying she had "a dick" and also told us of her supportive father, telling the crowd (who btw were listening at every single word) "Love you parents, cos they're.....they're it!" She said that all the love from her fans gave her the desire to keep writing music, and she loved us "more than you can ever know".

She also declared that she fully intended to keep writing music for the next 30 years, which sent the crowd to ecstasy.

The performance was an inspiration to me, and i found myself screaming that to her between one of her songs, praying she heard me so that she knew how much we all love her.

She finished with a ground-shaking Bad Romance and I swear even people who'd stayed seated and unmoved for the good part of the concert finally started dancing and bellowing the lyrics like the rest of us

She claimed The Monster ball was all about being as free as we want, being whatever, whoever we want to be, and having the best night ever. Well she certainly gave me that...

In short, (this probably sounds like a school report, i dont care) i recommend this concert highly to anyone who wants to go and have a great time. if she's doing tours every year for those next thirty years, i plan to go to a concert each one

:D!!!!!

LADY GAGA AT MR. CHOW

Lady Gaga was spotted at Mr. Chow in London showing off this piercing head extravaganza. Scorpions havent been portrayed on gaga before, and press have no idea of any symbolic meaning, but she pulled it off in true lady gaga fashion; with outrageousness and decadence
Note: To any Lady Gaga fans who are probably now wondering wat the hell the pop star is doing in London when her Melbourne concert is tonight. This was taken a few days ago

A before-concert message to halt the war for the arrival of Lady Gaga

This is a message to the person who portraed me the monster. The person who witnessed me in one of my most depressed and desperate stages of my life and turned that issue into a laughing stock. The person who found my problems a good piece of gossip, and the person who accused me of faking it for attention.

I'm not having my much anticipated Lady Gaga concert ruined by some bitchy duel over teenage gossip. I am going to enjoy this night, im not going to merge all my energy into thinking of ways of revenge on you. If you wanna spend your night being a bitch then go ahead, cos you dont matter enought to me for me to care anymore. I have more important things of my life to worry about, without you trying to turn all my friends against me

If you're feeling like you wanna contunue this fight into tomorrow of all nights, then just dont talk to me at all. Cos im not forgiving you

Brunch at Melba, followed by a spending spree at Tiffany's

Sometimes a day of excessiveness, decadence and good food is exactly what's needed in one's life. Women in Verscae suits, men in silk ties, and preppy-dressed children were all the rage at The Langham's Melba restaurant. Crystal Chandeliers, Natural Oysters and a five tiered Chocolate fountain greeted us. After four courses we met up with more friends and went to Crown for a look-in on Burberry and Louis Vuitton. Afterwards we decided to pay a visit to Tiffany & Co. The symbolic Holly Golightly and Sweet Home Alabama images flashed to mind as the jazz-store music was playing. Ten minutes later we exited with two Tiffany's bags.
Today was a perfect day and we're seriously considering making it a occur more. Tomorrow night is Lady Gaga and five good friends and i are planning to have the best time ever

Fashion Focus on Television: Miss Samantha Jones

Samantha! A love-machine, a female version of a male playboy; it all points to one thing, S is a sex addict

Having only seen the movie Sex and the City and read the book (yes you read correctly, there IS a book) i'm already captivated with Samantha's character; controlling (to the point of dominance) fiercely loyal and humorous. She has an inner outrageousness behind her good looks and excellent figure (for a 50 year old woman, it cant be denied that she is still sizzling) that she loves to explode at any inopportune moment. My favorite scene takes place at Christie's where S places "50 f***ing thousand" on a diamond ring after a fierce battle with a woman who turns out to have been buying in on behalf of Samantha's bf. Samantha aims to be the man in her relationships, emotionless in sex, and enjoying every experience just for the pleasure. In many ways she pulls this off, as she is a successful, wealthy, attractive person, yet a woman...

With her outrageousness, Samantha's dress sense works perfectly, as we view bright yellows, greens, reds and pieces that you would expect on a 22yr-old-Upper East side socialite instead of a 50-yr-old-Califronia buisness magnate. Another fav scene involves Samantha, in an effort to distract herself from the "distracting" Dante next door, she takes a huge shopping spree at Gucci :P

Finally, in the sequel, S has been spotted around The Big Apple in no less than a shimmery veil, a train, and a boquet. Yes, thats the rumour, Samantha Jones is getting married

We'el have till the movie release in May, but if Samantha; the sex goddess who put herself in the "we're never getting married file" is really and truly tying the knot, she has the rest of us asking "What is happening to the world?"

P.S In the final pic, we know you like fashion eccentricity S, but the uggboots might be a tad underkill

The Soiree

The simple party is an undercurrent of social interaction which is a necessary part of a stylish groups movements. It should come as no surprise then, that last night i attended a party with all my friends, hosted by another friend, before going back to school. A poolhouse, iPod speakers and a few plates of food got people talking and having fun, and the two groups originally set out at the start of the party had merged by the end of the night.

Parties are excellent for social company, simply put, SOMEONE HAVE ONE AGAIN SOON!

Fashion Focus on Movies: Breakfast at Tiffany's

Holly Golightly is a perfectionist in the world of fashion. The woman responsible for the little black dress was Audrey Hepburn, through her film Breakfast at Tiffany's. Persevered by gangsters and observers alike, Holly's unique beauty and stylish clothing proves alluring, attracting and mysterious to all sorts of men. And it is the first use of a black dress merely for elegant purposes outside the funeral setting. While many wear black with a certain morbidity, H portrays perfection in style and grace

and this is all from the viewpoint of someone who's never seen the movie and only read the book's blurb....

Fashion Focus on Televison: Miss Jennifer Humphrey

Jenny Humphrey
Age: 16
Profession: Student, elected Queen of Constance Billard Academy, aspiring fashion designer
Hobbies: "wearing designer clothes and bossing people around"
Jenny Humhrey! tsk tsk tsk what has happened to you. Originally the quirky girl who greeted us in plaid skirts and ponytailed hair, now we see a black leather clad queen with a crystal headband on her head. However did this come about?
Let me tell you how this came about: LITTLE J grew up. For any readers not (yet) addicted to Gossip Girl, Jenny Humphrey started off as a nobody-girl in Brooklyn, attending the posh private school Constance Billard. She is intorduced at the "handmaiden" of Queen Blair Waldorf.
She slowly climbs the social ladder of the clique as Blair loses power, and we can see this simply through her clothes. The simple stylish school uniform is added to with accessories newer hairstyles. In the second photo, we see J carrying a Valentino bag, which is not advertised at all (it costs about 4000 dollars and Jenny is meant to be poor) so we can assume she got it as a gift from one of her Constance socialite friends.
When Blair graduates senior year she hands the "crown" to Jenny, to succeed her
This sudden clutch of power, along with her father Rufus' moving in with Lily Bass, multi-millionaire ultimately turns Jenny into the "royal byatche" we see of her in the last few episodes. Discarding the clothes she made in favor of Lily's purchases at Bendel's and Berghdorf's.
Jennys personal style has certainly taken a change of colour ince her succession to the throne, but it remains blatant. She uses certain accessories (a leather jacket, a plaid tie, brightly coloured stockings) to make her own personal style, and this also reflects in her fashion creations, which have a sense of crazy fashion (3rd last photo)
Unfortunately Im a few episodes of Gossip Girl behid, but cant wait for the season 3 dvd to be released, am dying to see what will happen with Little J. Stay tuned...

Update on the Brunch

Ladies and Gentlemen the brunch was a success. Now, not only do I highly reccomend the Lindt cafe Collins Street for its good food, but I would like to inform you that I've discovered Brunch is a perfectly pleasant and stylish way to spend your morning. It felt incredibly Gossip Girl/Sex and the City as we sat there eating our Salmon sandwiches or drinking our hot chocolates. The duration of the time in the city was spent exploring Crown and Southbank.

Btw if anyone knows the name of that mineral water from Switzerland please let me know, am feeling like a case of it :P
